who are we?

In August 2023, Eden Church of the Nazarene was born from a vision to be a place of healing and belonging for people navigating life between cultures. Emerging from the legacy of Summit View Church and with the vision and generous support of Grace Community Church, Eden was planted as a young, intercultural congregation with a clear mission: to reflect the beauty and diversity of God’s kingdom in a growing community.

From the beginning, Eden has been rooted in ministry among generational immigrants and families from diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds. We have sought to create a space where people can experience authentic community and freely express God’s call on their lives within an intercultural context.

What is eden?

“On each side of the river stood the Tree of Life, bearing twelve crops of fruit, yielding its fruit every month. And the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations.” Eden Church of the Nazarene began from the desire to be instruments of healing in the lives of many who have struggled to find their identity in between cultures. We are not the Tree of Life, but we strive to be a part of God’s redeeming work, flowing from the heart of God and His faithful followers. As we gathered our core leadership to fellowship for the first time, this imagery of the trajectory of rivers became clear– that God was leading us, all from distinctively diverse backgrounds, to one place where we would come together and live life as one body.

How do we accomplish this?

We are going towards being a church that practices public theology in dialogue and mission.

We are committed to discipleship of Christ, walking together, exploring the mystery, and caring for cultures.

Why are we here?

Eden Church of the Nazarene exists to cultivate and embody an intentionally intercultural family as an expression of God’s creative healing for our communities.
